Bedford Creek Marina & Campground, Sackets Harbor, NY. This gorgeous family campground is located in the breathtaking “Golden Crescent” of the eastern basin of Lake Ontario. It offers 204 campsites and a sheltered marina with 50 slips. They can accommodate tents to RV of all sizes. Full hook ups are available as is a dump station. If you’re in one of their non-sewer sites, however, they will empty your tanks with their Phelps Honey Wagon.
Their camping guest can rent paddle boats and pedal bikes. There is a jumping pillow which always seems to be busy with kids laughing and having a ball jumping their little hearts out. They can join in on many planned activities or strike out on their own to play at the campground. It’s a pet-friendly place and the fishing is great! You can rent by the day or stay the season. Many families have been coming for years. There is no better place in New York to spend time with your family. You can swim, jump, golf, go fishing, and spend time on the water. Whatever your heart desires. Oh, and they have cabin rentals, too.
The facilities are clean and well maintained and the staff is friendly. The owners have made many improvements in the years since they’ve owned it and it shows. They are responsive to their guests needs and have developed a following of loyal camping families because of it.
We asked Jerry how things were going with his honey wagon service and he responded “This honey wagon is the best. We use it for much more than you intended it. You can’t imagine how many things we use it for. Although I have only 8 sites without sewer, I wouldn’t do life without my honey wagon. How we survived the first seven years in the campground without it, I have no idea.”
